About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and senior-level Cloud Pre-Sales Director to join our client’s team. As a Senior Cloud Pre-Sales Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving cloud computing solutions and strategy. You will collaborate closely with business development teams to understand complex client needs, design innovative cloud solutions, and demonstrate the transformative power of cloud computing. Your extensive technical expertise, deep understanding of cloud technologies and architectures, and proven track record in delivering successful cloud solutions will be instrumental in shaping company’s offerings and driving client success. This role requires exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders. 

 

Essential skills and experience:

  • Proven experience working as a Senior Cloud Pre-Sales Architect or in a similar senior-level role within an IT Service Provider or Managed Services Provider. 

  • Extensive knowledge and expertise in cloud computing technologies and architectures, with a deep understanding of major public cloud providers. 

  • Strong familiarity with ITIL technology-based environments and a track record of delivering successful solutions in an ITIL environment. 

  • Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring a team of Cloud Pre-Sales Architects, driving their professional growth and ensuring high-quality deliverables. 

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, including C-level executives. 

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a proven track record in assessing client needs, developing innovative solutions, and driving business outcomes. 

  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams, build collaborative relationships, and influence key stakeholders. 

  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and delivering results within tight deadlines. 

  • Willingness to travel as required for client meetings, conferences, and industry events. 

 

Role description and responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the Cloud Pre-Sales function, providing guidance and expertise in designing and architecting complex cloud solutions. 

  • Collaborate closely with business development teams to understand client challenges, objectives, and business requirements, and develop tailored cloud solutions that align with their strategic goals. 

  • Drive the design and architecture of scalable, secure, and reliable cloud solutions, ensuring compliance requirements are met. 

  • Develop and present compelling proof of concepts (POCs) that showcase the value and benefits of our cloud solutions, addressing specific client needs and driving business outcomes. 

  • Lead the creation of comprehensive proposals and presentations that effectively communicate the unique value proposition of our cloud solutions, positioning them as transformative tools for our clients. 

  • Collaborate with the business development and finance teams to develop competitive and profitable pricing models for our cloud managed services. Consider factors such as market demand, service complexity, and value delivered to clients. 

  • Define and establish SLAs that clearly outline the performance metrics, response times, and service guarantees for our application managed services. Ensure that the SLAs are realistic, achievable, and aligned with client expectations. 

  • Collaborate with the finance team to develop revenue forecasts for our cloud managed services, considering factors such as client pipeline, contract renewals, and upselling opportunities. Monitor and analyse revenue performance to identify areas for improvement and growth. 

  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in cloud computing technologies, architectures, and industry trends, and leverage this knowledge to continuously enhance our offerings and maintain a competitive edge.
