Business Operations Analyst 

We are working closely with a highly established IT client of ours, who is looking to recruit for a Business Operations Analyst to join the business. 
 
This role will report directly to the Business Transformation Lead and involves gaining a comprehensive understanding of the overall business and organizational operations. The incumbent will provide support in executing strategic project initiatives.

The Business Operations Analyst primarily will focus on leading and concluding business analysis, evaluating operational data, optimizing processes, and drive efficiency gains to support process improvement, standardisation, and automation throughout the business. Additionally, this position will collaborate, and support business cases submitted through the Business Transformation Function and ensure that businesses cases are aligned and overseen to the business strategy. ` 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Aid in the development of business cases to facilitate well-informed decision-making. Provide support to the Business Case owner throughout the process, delineating potential benefits and return on investment for proposed initiatives. 

  • Assist in providing data analysis for informed decision-making, benefits mapping and benefit realisation tracking. 

  • Work closely with the team to define and establish the management and governance for services within this area.  

  • Analyse and modelling of current processes and design enhanced workflows to optimize efficiency and effectiveness. ​ 

  • Conduct in-depth business analysis to support strategic initiatives and ensure that comprehensive requirements are produced.​ 

  • Facilitate technical and/or business workshops/interviews with key stakeholders to gather functional & non-functional requirements specifications when needed. 

  • Generate impactful use cases and user stories aligned with business and functional requirements, including clear acceptance criteria. 

  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing to translate business needs and requirements. 

 

  • Support teams with implementation assurance, including end to end process testing, UAT defect feedback and operational readiness. 

  • Maintain ‘As Is’ process version control (using the XSOL tool) and support transformation to ensure minimal impact of future designs.   

  • Drive and support continuous improvement and innovation. 

  • Engage cross-functionally across the business to lead and support change initiatives, recognize opportunities for improvement, and always ensure alignment with the business strategy.  

  • Administrative assistance to the Business Transformation function and active Projects when needed.  

  • Assist the development of business analysis and process engineering within the team and to the broader organisation via coaching, mentoring and support. 

  • Offer assistance in meetings, documentation, and other activities associated with transformation initiatives as needed. 

Skills & Experience  

  • 2+ years of experience in an analytical space or relevant professional experience is essential. 

  • Experience in process modelling across multiple work streams. It would be advantageous to have working knowledge in Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, and Record to Report. 

  • Possesses a background in working in a Business Operations/Customer Service/Service Delivery/Shared Services function. 

  • Previous ERP implementation experience - MS Dynamics would be preferred, but experience to other systems is also valuable. 

  • Proficiency in BPMN Design, MS Visio, Lean, and Six Sigma methodologies. 

  • Current understanding with Salesforce, ServicePath (CPQ), and ServiceNow.  

  • Possession of a BCS diploma in business analysis and/or process modelling, or equivalent would be desirable. 

  • Possess a strong understanding of CBAP or similar certification, if available, as a valuable plus. 

  • Utilize exceptional planning and multitasking skills to prioritize and deliver data effectively. 

  • Demonstrate adaptability, flexibility, and personable traits while thriving in a high-energy, fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
