Data Centre Sales Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Data Centre Sales Specialist to drive and expand profitable growth across a comprehensive portfolio of Data Centre, Hybrid Cloud, and related infrastructure solutions. This role focuses on increasing customer value, growing wallet share, and closing complex, multi-tower opportunities across compute, storage, networking, security, and disaster recovery.

You will work closely with sales teams, partners, alliance managers, and technical specialists to build and execute a strong go-to-market plan, develop pipeline, support bids, and deliver high-impact customer engagements. This role requires strong commercial acumen, deep Data Centre knowledge, and the ability to build trust with senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve revenue and gross margin targets through Data Centre and Hybrid Cloud solution sales.

  • Identify and develop strategic opportunities to grow Data Centre business across key, growth, and whitespace accounts.

  • Maximise vendor incentives, programs, and rebates in collaboration with partner managers.

  • Support marketing and lead generation activities, driving demand with internal teams and vendors.

  • Assist sales teams in identifying, developing, and closing Data Centre opportunities.

  • Manage customer engagements including meetings, presentations, and solution positioning.

  • Prepare proposals, support RFP responses, and collaborate with pre-sales solution architects.

  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and partner account managers.

  • Provide guidance to customers by recommending innovative solutions aligned to business outcomes.

  • Contribute to forecasting, QBR activity, and performance measurement.

  • Continuously monitor market trends, competitor landscape, and vendor ecosystem.

  • Ensure exceptional customer service and alignment with organisational standards.

Qualifications-

Essential:

  • Strong knowledge of Data Centre and Hybrid Cloud technologies, including market trends and competitive positioning.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Data Centre, Hybrid Cloud, or infrastructure solution sales.

  • Proven track record of exceeding revenue and margin targets.

  • Strong commercial awareness with experience in business development.

  • Excellent presentation skills, particularly with C-level stakeholders.

  • Experience in complex enterprise technology sales cycles.

  • Ability to negotiate pricing, delivery, and technical specifications.

  • High energy, resilience, and the ability to work under pressure across multiple priorities.

  • Strong solution-selling background and ability to cross-sell into existing accounts.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong negotiation skills.

  • Confident, proactive, inquisitive, and collaborative.

  • Comfortable with regular travel for customer, vendor, and internal meetings.

Desirable:

  • Experience with HPC (High Performance Computing) solutions.

  • Strong network within key vendor ecosystems (e.g., storage, compute, cloud vendors).

  • Exposure to large-scale Data Centre modernisation projects.
