Territory Manager

Inventive Search are looking to recruit an experienced Territory Manager to join their extremely successful and award winning team.

The Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing business to new and existing customers within their territory, who will be Public Sector based. Core sectors would be Education organisations, focussing on HE / FE. 

This is a highly collaborative role, working with internal teams (Inside Sales, Marketing, and Engineering etc) as well as our Channel, Alliance and MSP Partners to ensure the successful execution of their sales plan for the assigned Public Sector Territory.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with Sales leadership and other key sponsors to define a robust Sales Plan, and then execute against this to maximise the revenue and success of their Territory;

  • Lead the virtual team aligned to their Territory, including Inside Sales, Marketing, Engineering, etc, to ensure collaboration, alignment and drive the team to success;

  • Build and maintain relationships with end-user customers, understand their goals and requirements, and apply the companies technology to help Public Sector customers succeed;

  • Be proactive by calling to new and existing customers to convert sales conversations to identified prospects;

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Partner and Alliances sales teams to drive customer engagement to identify and close business;

  • Stay up to date with industry trends and information, as well as the companies product portfolio through regular training courses and updates;

  • Provide reliable, timely revenue forecasts based on the company’s reporting tools;

  • Meet or exceed their Territory revenue targets.

 

Skills & Experience: 

  • History of success in high tech sales to Public Sector customers as demonstrated in achievement of sales quota and closing of deals of size;

  • Experience selling into, and building strong business relationships within the Public Sector market segments and able to bring partner and/or end user relationships to the role;

  • Sales background built around Cloud/Virtualization/Storage/Back-up/Security solutions preferred;

  • Able to articulate the key steps in building pipeline through to close of a deal, and give examples of their ability to use these steps and “solution sell” to drive success;

  • Strong written and oral communication skills;

  • Self motivated and focused on driving results;

  • Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where roles and responsibilities change quickly.
